WASHINGTON, March 14 (UPI) -- Six campaign enforcement matters and penalties have been successfully mediated, the U.S. federal elections watchdog said Friday.

The Federal Election Commission completed action on the matters last year, but only now placed the documents from the cases into the public record, the commission said. Three cases were assessed penalties totaling $11,450.

The campaign committee for 2006 Texas congressional candidate Nicholas Van Campen Taylor agreed to pay a $5,300 civil penalty for not disclosing all financial activity on its 12-day pre-general election and 30-day post-general election reports, the FEC said.

Agreeing to pay a $900 civil penalty was the Blue America Political Action Committee for failing to file six 24-hour notices for independent expenditures made prior to the 2006 general election.

Fourteen respondents agreed to pay $5,250 in total civil penalties related to corporate contributions made to the campaign committee of 2002 Senate candidate Suzanne Haik Terrell of Louisiana. An FCC audit revealed the committee received prohibited corporate contributions.

The FEC dismissed three other matters.
