KABUL, Afghanistan, March 13 (UPI) -- A car bomb detonated near the Kabul airport in Afghanistan Thursday, killing six people and injuring another 15, officials said.

Authorities said the car pulled alongside an armored vehicle used by coalition forces during rush hour and exploded, the BBC reported. None of the coalition troops were reported injured, however, the British network said.

Meanwhile, bombs hit two NATO convoys in the Kandahar region Wednesday, wounding four soldiers, the Pakistan Tribune reported.

In other attacks, an Afghan man, two women and two children were reported killed.
