WASHINGTON, March 13 (UPI) -- U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Thursday repeated her prediction that there will not be a joint Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket.
Pelosi said although the Democratic presidential ticket will have a "dream team on it," it just won't have both Clinton and Obama's name, CNN reported.
"Whoever our nominee is and whoever he or she is and whoever he or she chooses, will be a dream team as the Democrats go forward," the California Democrat said.
When pressed on the possibility of a November ballot with both Clinton and Obama on it, Pelosi said, "Take it from me, that won't be the ticket."
Her remarks echo comments she made Tuesday to a Boston television station, when she was quoted as saying that a join ticket would be "impossible" to achieve.
"I think that ticket either way is impossible," she said. "I think that the Clinton administration has fairly ruled that out by proclaiming that Senator McCain would be a better commander-in-chief than Obama."
