The plan would be for voters to cast their ballots by mail, The Miami Herald reported Wednesday.
However some officials in the Democratic National Committee are reportedly not keen on having another vote.
Florida's Democratic primary in January was discounted by the DNC because state party officials moved up the election without the consent of the national party.
As a cost-saving measure, some officials said they would like to see the delegates from the Jan. 29 counted toward the tally needed to win the Democratic nomination.
U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., won that election although neither she nor Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., campaigned in the state, citing the DNC's ruling. Obama supports say it would be unfair to award the delegates to Clinton because many voters, thinking the primary results wouldn't count, stayed home.
