30 Israelis arrested on child porn charges

JERUSALEM, March 12 (UPI) -- Israeli officials, acting on tips from Interpol, said they arrested 30 Israeli men Wednesday on suspicion of downloading child pornography from the Internet.

Interpol told Israeli police that the men used a legitimate Web site that was hacked to distribute content exploiting minors, The Jerusalem Post said.

Israeli officials said they would turn the cases over to prosecutors and the investigation was in its final stages.

Police arrested 10 people on similar charges in February, Ynetnews reported.
