BUENOS AIRES, March 10 (UPI) -- At least 18 people were killed when a train collided with a double-decker bus in rural Argentina, La Nacion newspaper reported Monday.

Nearly 50 others were injured in the crash Sunday as the bus was en route from an Atlantic Coast resort to the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires.

Authorities are investigating whether the bus's two drivers were responsible for the crash, as the vehicle was reportedly crossing the train tracks after the crossing gates warning vehicles to stay off the tracks had been lowered.
