He was moved to his residence in Islamabad after reportedly showing significant improvement in his health, the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
A.Q. Khan, or Abdul Qadeer Khan, was admitted with symptoms of fever and low blood pressure, the report said, adding he was later treated for enteric fever and endotoximia infection.
A cardiologist who examined Khan was quoted as saying his heart was healthy and functioning normally. He would receive additional treatment at his home.
Khan, who headed Pakistan's nuclear program, has been confined to his home since his 2004 confession about leaking the nuclear secrets. Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has not allowed outside experts to interview Khan.
In 2006, Khan reportedly underwent treatment for prostate cancer, Iran's IRNA news agency reported.
The IRNA report said Khan's family has claimed he has never been allowed to explain his position.
