MOSUL, Iraq, March 7 (UPI) -- At least six people, including five police officers, were killed and another 35 injured Friday in two separate attacks in Mosul, Iraq, officials said.

The five Iraqi police officers were killed in a suicide attack on a police station, KUNA, the Kuwait News Service, reported. At least 19 others were injured when an explosives-laden car targeted al-Waqqas police station in Ras al-Jadda.

Meanwhile, twin bombings killed at least one person and injured at least 14 when explosives detonated in front of a police officer's home, officials said. The first bomb exploded in front of the home, and as people gathered at the site a second bomb exploded.

On Thursday, Um al-Rabeain police arrested 11 suspects during an operation in the al-Tanak district west of Mosul, KUNA said. Weapons were found in the home of one of the suspects.
