At least 1 dead, 6 injured in Pakistan

KARACHI , Pakistan, March 6 (UPI) -- A security official died and six people were wounded in three separate incidents in Pakistan, a report said.

The security official was killed and four others injured when they encountered a land mine while driving near the Ouch oil field in Balochistan, Geo TV reported Thursday. Officials reportedly said the security vehicle was on its way to Suhbatpur when it was hit by the land mine.

The four injured men were transported to a hospital in Quetta after receiving treatment at Dera Allahyar Hospital, the report said.

Two other people were wounded in two separate shooting incidents in Karachi after robbers fired weapons in Sir Syed Town and Eidgah, police said.

Twelve people reportedly have been arrested in connection with street crimes throughout Karachi.
