BRUSSELS, March 5 (UPI) -- Belgian police traveled to Morocco Wednesday to lay the groundwork for the questioning of alleged terrorist Abdelkader Belliraj.

Belliraj faces trial on terrorism charges in Morocco and has stated that he carried out six killings in Belgium, Flandersnews.com reported.

It was revealed last week that Belliraj was also a paid informant for the Belgian security services, which apparently was unaware of his other activities while he was living in Belgium.

A contingent of six Belgian federal police officers will prepare for the later arrival of an official Belgian commission who will interrogate Belliraj, Flandersnews.com said.
