Attacks kill several in northern Iraq

KIRKUK, Iraq, March 5 (UPI) -- Several Iraqi civilians were killed and several others injured in two attacks Wednesday and police arrested a member of terror group Ansar al-Sunna.

A gunman killed two people and wounded three others in southern Kirkuk, Iraqi police officials told the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA. The same attacker later denoted a bomb killing one and injuring two others in the same area.

An anonymous police official in Kirkuk told KUNA officials arrested a member of Ansar al-Sunna at a checkpoint.
