MADRID, March 4 (UPI) -- Polls indicate Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero won the latest and final pre-election debate, it was reported Tuesday.

Four opinion polls conducted following Monday's televised debate saw Zapatero, a socialist, as the victor over his conservative opponent, Mariano Rajoy, El Pais reported.

The poll for Spanish TV state Cuatro showed Zapatero has 50.8 percent of support among voters, while Rajoy is garnering 29 percent.

Spanish citizens will vote Sunday to select the country's next leader.
