Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki and Opposition Leader Raila Odinga agreed on a government structure after five hours of intensive talks in Nairobi, said chief mediator Kofi Annan, the former U.N. secretary-general.
The two leaders agreed to create the positions of prime minister and two deputy prime ministers. The prime minister's post likely will go to Odinga, the Voice of America said Thursday.
Kibaki and Odinga pledged to ensure that the accord is implemented and called for unity among all Kenyans.
