SDEROT, Israel, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Five Qassam rockets landed in southern Israel Monday, causing minor structural damage and injuring a young boy.

The Popular Resistance Committees, in Gaza, took responsibility for the attacks that struck areas around the southern town of Sderot, which military officials say has been the target of more than 400 attacks this year.

A 10-year-old boy suffered injuries from the attacks Monday when one rocket struck near a school in Sderot. Other rockets hit a residential district and an industrial area, Haaretz said.

Propane tanks hit by one of the rockets exploded causing some structural damage.

Meanwhile, Israeli police set up a temporary base Monday in Sderot to respond to Palestinian protesters in Gaza.
