NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., Feb. 22 (UPI) -- A teenager in a New York suburb says she was sexually assaulted by a police officer, who is also the husband of a WNBC news anchor.
A report on the case said the 17-year-old gave an accurate description of the genitals of New Rochelle Sgt. David Rodriguez, the Journal News reported. Rodriguez, who has been suspended with pay, denies the charge.
Rodriguez is married to Darlene Rodriguez, anchor of "Today in New York." The couple have three children.
The girl says Rodriguez and other officers came to her home to arrest her boyfriend. She said Rodriguez returned and assaulted her.
"He forced me," she told the New York Post.
