TORONTO, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Toronto Police appealed Friday for residents to call 911 if they spot a pedophile deemed high-risk who was released from prison a day earlier.
Junior Spencer, 30, who is considered at high risk to reoffend, was freed after serving a 2 1/2-year sentence for making, possessing and distributing child pornography between 1995 and 2005, the Toronto Star reported.
As part of the release agreement, he must follow 27 conditions and is under a 10-year, long-term supervision order that allows law enforcement agencies to monitor his every move. He is also banned from having a computer, a BlackBerry or camera and is forbidden from contacting his twin brother in Ottawa who was also convicted in 2000 for operating a child pornography ring out of jail, the newspaper said.
In widely publicized television and newspaper reports, police showed Spencer's photo and asked for emergency phone tips to help them determine if he's abiding by the release conditions, the Star said.
