DALLAS, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- The Dallas Police Department had to shut down its Web site Monday night after hackers plastered it with obscene messages.

A DPD spokesman told the Dallas Morning News that it didn't appear any sensitive department data was compromised; however the site security was being upgraded.

The messages and images left by the intruder included insults against President Bush and other officials, the newspaper said.
