CHINO, Calif., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- A car that may have run a red light hit a school bus in Chino, Calif., Tuesday, leaving eight children and three adults with minor injuries, authorities said.

Battalion Chief Tim Shackelford of the Chino Valley Fire District said the preschool children, ages 3-5, were all fastened into car seats, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The injured adults included the drivers of both vehicles and an attendant on the bus, which was chartered by a Chino Head Start program, the newspaper reported.

Authorities were still investigating the cause of the crash.
