Prince Philip assailed at Diana inquest

LONDON, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Britain's Prince Philip was the subject of a verbal attack during testimony in London Monday at the inquest into the death of Princess Diana and Dodi al-Fayed.

Fayed's father, Mohammed al-Fayed, told the inquest the husband of Queen Elizabeth should be sent "back to Germany from where he comes," The Sun newspaper reported.

"You want to know his original name -- it ends with Frankenstein," said Fayed, the owner of Harrods department store.

Reading from a statement, Fayed said his belief that Diana and his son were murdered was confirmed when he learned that a note detailing Diana's fears she would be killed in a car accident was never given to the coroner in the case.

Fayed also said that before her death Diana had told him in a telephone conversation that she was pregnant and she and Dodi Fayed planned to announce their engagement after returning from Paris, The Sun report said.

Before entering the court, Fayed told reporters "This is the moment for me to say exactly what I feel happened to my son and Diana."
