LONDON, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- A British newspaper is reporting Monday Princess Diana's butler lied at the inquest looking into her death in a Paris car accident.
The Sun says it has Paul Burrell on videotape boasting that he committed perjury. Burrell, who currently lives in the United States, faces the prospect of being ordered back to London to explain the comments he made to the newspaper.
As the Diana inquest resumed Monday, the coroner told the jury the article in the Sun was being investigated.
"I have called for the tape and I shall want to know all about the circumstances in which it was obtained and we will proceed from there as appropriate," Lord Justice Scott Baker said.
The newspaper says it has already handed over the videotape.
