DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- U.S. President George Bush plans to be on hand to dedicate the U.S. Embassy in Kigali, Rwanda, Tuesday during that portion of his African visit.

Bush and his wife, Laura, also will visit and lay a wreath at the Memorial Center, which has among its permanent exhibits one that documents the 1994 Rwandan genocide, press secretary Dana Perino told media Monday aboard Air Force One en route to route Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The center also has a children's memorial and exposition on genocide throughout the world, such as in Bosnia and Cambodia.

Bush and Rwandan President Paul Kagame will sign a bilateral investment treaty before the U.S. Embassy dedication, "which is exciting for everyone that's working there," Perino said.

After the Rwandan visit, the first couple will travel to Ghana.
