Rural Ohio fire kills 3 kids, injures 4

SIDNEY, Ohio, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Three children died Tuesday night when a fire, possibly sparked by an explosion of undetermined origin, destroyed their home in Shelby County, Ohio.

Four other children and one adult were injured in the blaze, which quickly engulfed the rural home and burned it to the ground.

Fire officials told WHIO-TV in nearby Dayton, Ohio, that neighbors reported hearing an explosion and that the flames lit up the sky for miles around.

An investigation was under way Wednesday to determine the cause of the blaze.
