HINTON, Alberta, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- A bus in western Alberta, Canada, hit a moose crossing the highway and flipped, injuring 32 people, Edmonton media reported.

The accident in snowy conditions happened late Tuesday near Hinton, about 200 miles west of Edmonton, as the bus was shuttling coal miners to the town after their shift, the Edmonton Sun reported.

Of the injured, one was listed in critical condition Wednesday and was transferred to an Edmonton hospital. Two others were listed in serious condition, hospital officials said. The majority of the others' injuries were back and shoulder injuries and one person had an ear severed, the newspaper said.
