TINLEY PARK, Ill., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- A man has been arrested in connection with the killings of five women in a Lane Bryant store in Tinley Park, a far south Chicago suburb, the mayor confirmed.

Tinley Park Mayor Ed Zabrocki told WBBM-AM the man under arrest resembled a person in a police sketch, and had not been ruled out as a suspect, although no charges had filed against him.

The man was taken in custody Tuesday night by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and turned over to local law enforcement officials, the radio station reported Wednesday.

Earlier, a source close to the investigation said the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force had been given the name and a sketch of a man who may have been responsible for the Feb. 2 slayings of five women and wounding of a sixth inside a Lane Bryant store, the Daily Southtown reported.

The man, who was wanted for a parole violation, was arrested in a house on Chicago's South Side, WBBM said. He reportedly had two armed robbery convictions.
