Sketch of Lane Bryant gunman released

TINLEY PARK, Ill., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Police released a composite portrait Saturday of the man who shot six women in a Chicago-area store, killing five of them.

Investigators said it took a week to put together the sketch because the lone survivor was so traumatized that interviews with her were delayed, the Chicago Tribune reported.

"The victim has been traumatized emotionally," said Tinley Park Police Commander Rick Bruno. "We'd rather put together an accurate description than a haphazard one."

Police handed out fliers at the Brookside Center, where the massacre occurred Feb. 2, in hopes of jogging memories.

Funerals were held Saturday for three of the women who were killed. They were Rhoda McFarland, the manager of the Lane Bryant store; Sarah Szafranski, who had recently graduated from college and was buying clothes for her first job; and Connie Woolfolk, a mortgage manager and mother of two.

Jennifer Bishop, a nurse with three children visiting Chicago with her husband, and Carrie Hudek Chiuso, a school social worker, were laid to rest earlier in the week.

Lane Bryant has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
