JERUSALEM, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- The deputy leader of Hamas said Saturday more border breaches such as the one experienced by Egypt could occur soon and wouldn't rule out suicide bombings.
Moussa Abu Marzouk said his militant group would use suicide bombings in the Middle East "as required" and warned that the borders of Israel and Jordan were legitimate targets, The Jerusalem Post reported.
"Don't rule out the possibility of hordes of Palestinians bursting through the borders of Israel and Jordan just like they did at the Rafah border crossing into Egypt," Marzouk said.
The Hamas deputy leader said such actions would allow Palestinians to free themselves from the pressures of Israel.
Marzouk denied any knowledge regarding any ongoing suicide bombings, but did say all resistance options would be considered by Hamas.
"I don't know about a new wave of these attacks, nevertheless, every method of resistance is open. Hamas has not closed the door on any form of resistance in fighting the occupation, although the organization has not perpetrated suicide bomb attacks in a long time," he said.
