MOSCOW, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Germany's defense minister said Saturday NATO should be committed to cooperating with Moscow because global solutions need Russia's help.

"We highly value the NATO-Russia Council as an important forum for dialogue on all topics of concern to us: missile defense, the Kosovo status, international terrorism, nuclear nonproliferation or the Iranian nuclear problem," Josef Jung told reporters.

Jung reportedly advised both NATO and Russia to look for practical solutions to problems regardless of their differences.

Jung shared his point of view at a Munich security conference in the presence of political leaders from around the world.
