CLEVELAND, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Campaign officials for Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama said he has accepted an invitation from NBC News to debate Hillary Clinton in Cleveland.

The debate is scheduled for Feb. 26 at Cleveland State University and will be moderated by NBC News anchors Brian Williams and Tim Russert, The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported.

Obama's campaign said he also would participate in a debate against the senator from New York later in Texas.

"I think we said we will do two more debates, and at least one of them will be in Ohio," the Illinois senator told the Plain Dealer during a telephone interview. "I'm not sure exactly what communications have been going on between my staff and Sen. Clinton's."

The Ohio primary is March 4.
