Search goes on for abandoned tot's parents

TORONTO, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Frustrated Toronto police say the search for the parents of an abandoned baby girl is like "looking for a needle in a haystack."

Authorities say they hope to get a picture of the dark-eyed girl before every physician in the province. That's no small feat since there are 33,000 doctors in Ontario.

The little girl is about 8-months old and has been dubbed Angelica-Leslie by the Children's Aid Society. She was found abandoned in a stairwell last Wednesday, lying face down on the cold concrete floor of a two-story parking lot.

The child has been in the care of foster parents since late last week.
