QUORN, England, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- A real estate agent showing a potential buyer around a house in England found the body of the owner hanging in a large wardrobe.

Mark Ditchfield, 48, had put the house in Quorn, Leicestershire, on the market after his mother died in November. Neighbors said he had been depressed since her death.

One told the Telegraph that Ditchfield "could not see a way forward without his mum."

The man who had been looking at the house did not buy it. He went to the nearest pub.

"He was totally ashen, as if he had seen a ghost," a neighbor told The Sun. "He was shaking and asked for a stiff brandy. He could hardly put into words what he had seen, other than to say he and the agent were horrified."

Ditchfield and his mother shared the red-brick house. But after her death, he decided it was too large and put it up for sale with an asking price of 350,000 pounds ($700,000).
