CHICAGO, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- The man involved in the shooting deaths of five women at a Lane Bryant store in Chicago allegedly made sexual advances prior to the shooting, a source said.

An unknown gunman entered a Lane Bryant store in downtown Chicago shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday, bound six women in a back room and shot them, officials said. One woman survived.

A police source told The Chicago Tribune that the man may have made sexual advances toward one of more of the women prior to the shooting.

Police said they are searching records for similar cases. They described the suspect as a black male with thick hair braids, between 25 to 35 years old of medium height and "a little pudgy."

The lone survivor of the assault described in the Chicago daily, Southtown, Tuesday as a nursing student said the suspect shot the women "execution style."

The Cook County Crime Stoppers division and Lane Bryant both offered rewards for information leading to the gunman's arrest.
