Tourist killed in Florida stock car crash

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Florida officials are looking into the chance a driver killed at the Richard Petty Driving Experience suffered some sort of medical problem.

The unidentified man was reportedly driving erratically before hitting the wall at the famed Daytona International Speedway at about 70 miles per hour Sunday.

WESH-TV, Orlando, said the wrecked car had been impounded and an autopsy scheduled as the investigation continued.

The crash came two weeks before the racetrack hosts the Daytona 500 NASCAR race.
