LAVAL, Quebec, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- A 60-year-old Canadian man was arrested for allegedly having large amounts of child pornography in his home, police said.
Police in Laval, Quebec, investigated the suspect for several months before they seized the his computer and arrested him Monday on child pornography charges, The Montreal Gazette reported.

Specialists allegedly discovered more than 6,500 computer files containing child pornography in the suspect's computer.
The investigation also found more than 100 videotapes that allegedly showed minors engaging in sex acts, a police spokesman said. The tapes will reportedly be investigated for the identification of the victims and further possible suspects.
