LONDON, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Princess Diana's sister spoke of Diana's personal letters and told an inquest the late British princess had feared her boyfriend's father was spying on her.

Sarah McCorquodale testified at the hearing into Diana's death that the princess said she feared Harrods owner Mohamed al Fayed, the father of her lover Dodi Fayed, had used electronic surveillance to eavesdrop on her while she was a guest of the family shortly before she and Dodi Fayed died in a Paris car crash in August 1997, The Times of London said Tuesday.

The inquest heard testimony Monday regarding letters Diana allegedly had sent to Prince Phillip, her former father-in-law, that Mohamed al Fayed said suggested are indicative of an assassination plot developed by Phillip. The letters were neither seen nor sent, however.

McCorquodale also testified that Diana didn't discuss the possibility of being pregnant or being engaged to Dodi Fayed.
