DAYTON, Ohio, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Jury selection began Monday in the Ohio case of a baby who died after being placed in a microwave oven.

The selection process, which is expected to take a couple of days, included questions put to the prospective jurors about their feelings on the death penalty.

China Arnold, 27, is on trial in Dayton for allegedly murdering her 3-week-old daughter, Paris Talley, by microwaving her in 2005.

The Dayton Daily News said the judge in the case expects the trial to last about three weeks once the jury is seated.
