TEHRAN, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Russian officials say they have delivered 77 of 82 metric tons of nuclear fuel promised Iran.

The seventh shipment, containing 11 tons of uranium, was delivered Saturday to the Bushehr nuclear power plant in southern Iran, RIA Novosti reported.

Russian state contractor Atomstroyexport, which is building the plant, said the last shipment of fuel is to be delivered by the end of next month.

The shipments are being monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations' nuclear watchdog.
