CARACAS, Venezuela, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Friday that neighboring Colombia is planning to attack his country.

The leftist Chavez warned Colombia not to provoke Venezuela and threatened to cut off oil exports to its South American neighbor if a military attack was launched, Globovision TV reported Friday.

Chavez's remarks came on the same day that U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was visiting leaders in Colombia.
