JERUSALEM, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Israeli cabinet ministers Sunday called for the death of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, who claims to have the remains of Israeli soldiers killed in Lebanon.
"I tell the Israelis, we have the heads of your soldiers," Nasrallah said in a speech celebrating the Shiite festival of Ashura Saturday.
"I don't understand why he is still breathing," Israeli Minister Yitzhak Cohen was quoted as saying Sunday by Haaretz. "We should have liquidated him a long time ago. I recommend the cabinet assassinate the man."
Housing and Construction Minister Ze'ev Boim called Nasrallah a "sewer rat who should dig his own hole," Ynetnews.com said.
Interior Minister Meir Sheetrit was quoted by Haaretz saying, "Nasrallah is a person who has crossed all inhuman lines. We don't need to negotiate with him, we need to destroy him."
Haaretz cited unnamed sources in Jerusalem saying Israeli would not negotiate for the remains of its soldiers killed in Lebanon during the war against Hezbollah in the summer of 2006.
It is believed there are about 10 Israeli soldier's remains in Lebanon.
