MAPLEWOOD, Minn., Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Prosecutors and child services officials are reviewing the case of a Minnesota man accused of leaving his toddler son in a van while he was in a strip club.
David Mantor is accused of leaving his 18-month-old son in the vehicle for more than three hours while he was inside the Cajun Club in nearby Houlton, Wis., the Star Tribune of Minneapolis reported Friday. The club's manager called police after a customer noticed a baby strapped in a car seat inside the van.
The child, who was wearing a coat, suffered frostbite on his face and other exposed skin, St. Croix County Sheriff Dennis Hillstead said. Mantor, 45, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of misdemeanor child neglect in the Wednesday incident. The man reportedly told his wife he was going to the grocery store.
The St. Croix County, Wis., district attorney's office said was reviewing the case. Child protection services of Wisconsin and Minnesota also will review the case, the newspaper reported.
