GREENSBURG, Pa., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- A Pennsylvania high school student was arrested for allegedly bringing a knife to school after posting death threats against his ex-girlfriend on the Internet.
The 16-year-old, who attends Salem High School in Greensburg, Pa., allegedly made threats on his MySpace blog against the 17-year-old girl, who he stopped dating in November, in a poem titled, "Why would this Girl I Love Carry Me to Murder," the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Wednesday. The poem contained the phrases "an axe in the back" and "mood to kill, tonight she's gonna die," the newspaper said.
After the girl notified school officials of the poem and repeated harassment during school, they discovered a multi-purpose tool, which included a knife, in his backpack, police said.
He was suspended from school before a juvenile petition was filed by Greensburg police, who charged the teen Monday with possession of a weapon at school and terrorist-like threats.
