Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is scheduled to visit Prague Thursday for talks with Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek on working out a joint stand on the U.S. missile defense plan, strongly opposed by Moscow, which claims it is aimed against Russia, the Warsaw Voice online said Monday.

The U.S. plan foresees a missile interceptors base in Poland and a radar site in the Czech Republic to defend against missiles fired from such countries as Iran or North Korea.

Washington-Moscow talks on the missile shield in Central Europe have not yet reached any agreement.

Tusk's liberal government, which was installed in mid-November, is not fully supporting the U.S. missile defense system plan as did the former conservative Cabinet of Polish Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski.
