PITTSBURGH, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- School board members near Moon, Pa., will vote on whether to fire an ex-teacher who was arrested for having sexual contact with a 14-year-old.
Beth Ann Chester, 26, put in her resignation Dec. 26, citing personal reasons, and was arrested Friday and charged with nine criminal counts, The Pittsburgh Tribune Review reported Monday.
Chester also allegedly sent nude photos of herself to the 14-year-old.
School district attorney Jack Cambest said Sunday he thinks the former physical education teacher should be suspended without pay until a hearing during which the board will vote what to do about her contract, possibly looking to fire Chester rather than letting her resign.
Chester could be charged with three counts of child sexual abuse, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor and one count each of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal solicitation and statutory sexual assault, police records showed.
She was in Allegheny County Jail awaiting a hearing Tuesday.
