Sometime between Wednesday and Friday, a burglar managed to slip through the sliding door of a $1 million home and steal about $20,000 in jewelry while the homeowner, a doctor, was away, The New York Post reported.

The nature and execution of the crime led police to believe it was the Ninja Burglar at work, the newspaper said.

Six of the burglar's victims have encountered him during his crimes. They describe him as a white man in black clothing, between 5-feet-8 and 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds.

During one of his crimes, he attacked a victim with nunchucks, a weapon favored by martial artists and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Michelangelo.
