LONDON, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- A friend of British Princess Diana claims she told Dodi Fayed two weeks before their fatal Paris car crash that her relationship with him was "all over."
Rodney Turner, a car dealer and longtime friend of Diana's family, said at the inquest into her death that the princess told him in August 1997 the relationship "was all over, which was really a shock to me," Sky News reported Monday.
Turner said he had told Diana earlier he was against her relationship because of his view of Fayed's father, Mohamed al Fayed.
However, Diana joined Fayed on a vacation to France after her conversation with Turner.
Mohamed al Fayed claims the British royal family plotted to kill his son and Diana because they intended to marry and the princess was carrying Fayed's child. The pathologist who conducted a post mortem on the princess found no evidence she was pregnant.
