NYC woman victimized by Internet sex ad

NEW YORK, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- A New York woman was the victim of a low-life prank on Craigslist that basically offered her services as a hooker.

Anna O'Malley was besieged with calls from panting men who had read she was offering sex to help pay off her Christmas shopping bills, the New York Daily News reported Sunday.

"I'm a hardworking, honest person and I would never in my life post an ad like that," she fumed.

Craigslist pulled the ad and told the newspaper they hoped she and New York police would track down the still-unknown author.
