PRAGUE, Czech Republic, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- A Czech couple has been detained on suspicion of killing the woman's 5-year-old son, missing since August, Prague Radio said Tuesday.
Police found the boy's body on Friday in the couple's car during a random road check.
After a police investigation, a 38-year-old woman and her partner, 49, were remanded in custody Monday.
The radio said an autopsy should establish the cause and time of of boy's death.
The woman's two other children died before they turned one year-old, the report said.
The dead boy last stayed with his mother and her partner in an undisclosed location in August.
The boy's father, who was awarded custody of his son by a court, had looked for his son all over the country and had even approached the Czech ombudsman asking for help.
The father expressed fears for his son's life and criticized police for negligent work.
