Editorials charged Bhutto's Thursday assassination might have been avoided if the government had provided adequate security, Press Trust of India reported.
Pakistani media also questioned why President Pervez Musharraf did not order an autopsy on Bhutto's body, Press Trust reported.
The Pakistani government maintains Bhutto was killed when she ducked back into her car and hit her head on a sunroof when a gunman fired at her.
In an editorial titled, "No one believes the government," Pakistan's Daily Times criticized the "stupid way" government spokesmen have explained the "events of that fateful day."
Supporters riding in Bhutto's car said she was shot twice in her upper body before the gunman detonated a suicide bomb.
