COCOA, Fla., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Neighbors of a convicted sex offender in Florida are outraged that the man recently held a sale at which he sold children's toys.
Upon learning of the convict's yard sale, Donald Muncey's neighbors in Cocoa expressed concern that local children may come into contact with such an individual, WKMG-TV in Orlando reported Saturday.
"It is scary to even see their kids up there with them to buy stuff," neighbor Jim Youngman said.
Muncey and his brother, who has served jail time for harming a child, first placed their merchandise for sale out on their lawn several months ago.
Muncey was convicted of molesting a girl under the age of 16 several years ago.
Neighbors told WKMG-TV that by offering toys at the ongoing sale, Muncey is violating regulations that he cannot be anywhere near children.
Yet Muncey's mother said that as long as her sons stay inside the home when children are present, the toys can be placed for sale on the lawn.
