Disgraced lawyer suing former firm

NEW YORK, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- A New York lawyer convicted of paying a mother to have sex with her two teenage daughters is suing his former firm for unpaid employee benefits.

James Colliton, who was arrested in 2006 and later convicted for his sexual indiscretions, is suing Cravath, Swaine & Moore for salary, vacation pay and annual bonus payments he allegedly was entitled, the New York Daily News said Saturday.

During his time with the New York law firm, Colliton earned $500,000 a year until he was arrested and tabbed the "Lolita Lawyer" by the media.

He has since served 19 months in jail for repeatedly having sex with two sisters, ages 13 and 15, after paying their mother for permission.

In his lawsuit for $1.45 million, Colliton alleges the 188-year-old law firm did not pay him his required salary and bonuses, along with causing him "emotional distress" by monitoring his communications.

"The (firm) has breached its promise to pay (Colliton) a 'make-up bonus,'" the suit alleges.
