OMAHA, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Omaha police are investigating the deaths of two sisters, stabbed to death in the basement of their home.

Fabian Hands, 46, of Omaha, was held on homicide and weapons charges.

Saundra Brown, 36, and her sister, Renota Brown, 48, were killed and a 20-year-old relative raped, police Sgt. Teresa Negron told the Omaha World-Herald. Negron said when police arrived at the home Monday, Hands allegedly attacked the woman again in front of them.

Family members told WOWT-TV, Omaha, Hands was Saundra Brown's boyfriend. A family friend, Alice Jones, said Saundra's friends tried to talk her out of associating with Hands but "love is blind."
